We Want the 4th Evanescence album!

I have this weird feeling that Amy Lee is pursuing her solo career during the hiatus of Evanescence. I don't think this will be a good news to those fans who waits for their 4th album. Another one is, the hiatus will get longer as soon as Amy will bear her child and they will spend time with their families. Meanwhile, the remaining members will have to get their job done before heading back to studio.

Some fans are getting excited because they're expecting a new material from Amy Lee but I don't feel the same thing as most fans do. After their tour on 2012, many fans are expecting for their 4th album. I read an article that Evanescence should release their album, 2013 but I don't hyped for it because Amy needs some rest and she needs to take care of her voice. The then, band's label, Wind Up Records, announced that they will going to release If You Don't Mind as a promotional single ('cause it's included on the band's setlist in their South America, U.S. and U.K. tours and featured on the B-side of The Open Door) but months later, they announced that they won't release the said song. Many fans became disappointed because of that. February 14, 2013, Amy Lee released the music video of Lost In Paradise (by herself without any intervention from her label) filmed by fans around the world during their tour, and many fans became disappointed again and put the blame on the label, accusing of lack of support to their album and singles.

Amy Lee made appearance with Dave Eggar and Paula on November 2013 at the Wellspring benefit concert and featured her new song, Find A Way. By that time, I know that Amy Lee is going solo and she wants to pursue her solo career. Meanwhile, in Twitter, back on December 2013, many fans are putting the hashtag on their tweets: "#WeWantEvanescenceIn2014". Every parts of the world celebrated the new year and many fans hoped again for the new album. Expecting that the 3 year hiatus would be enough but their hopes disappeared again as Amy made appearance again with David in the Bluegrass Underground and many articles show that Amy Lee is pursuing her solo career and confirmed that she made some collaborations with Dave for the indie film, War Story. January 2014, report shows that Amy Lee filed a case against their label costing $1.5 million in royalties. The singer accused her label of promoting the self-titled album to a bunch of independent promoters with lame ideas instead of the label itself. Two months after, Amy revealed on her Twitter account that Evanescence is free from any record deal. The Bicycle Music Company has the distributing rights of the previous and future albums of Evanescence because Wind Up Records sold the back catalog of artists including Evanescence to them but still free from any label intervention.

As of now, I realized that Amy is really, really, want to pursue her solo career. The idea came to her since 2009 and she wants to get a solo career back then but she decided that those songs she composed herself be included for the 3rd album under the producer Steve Lilywhite but scrapped because it's electronic and doesn't suit for the mainstream (according to Wind Up Records). She attained control of her Facebook page and posted a snippet of her new song Lockdown along with Find A Way and Push the Button (but this song is not yet heard but confirmed it is one of Amy's new material.) If that so, the hiatus would take longer than the fans would ever expect. Another thing is, Tim needs to keep in touch with her daughter and be a responsible father to his own family. Amy, also, expecting her baby on July and needs to be a mother to her child, and a loving wife to her husband. I don't have any updates from Will, Troy and Terry but they have the same reason why they're not ready for a 4th album: Private life.

Most fans said that every members should made their family a priority first. Yeah, I know that but if that happens, Evanescence will comeback after 10 years or so. But I don't blame them for having their children but they have to balance the time they gave to every things they need to do! By the way, Blink-182 released their album this year after an 8 year break and if this scenario happens to Evanescence, many would be get disappointed and the world might forget of them.

Come on, Amy, not another 5-year-or-so-hiatus between the two albums! They have to show that their songs would never go old and disappeared suddenly. Their debut album, Fallen is a commercial material of them, followed by The Open Door that almost dropped down by their label because it's very hard and dark compared to its predecessor. Their very much awaited self-titled album is heavier and has metallic character in the tracks included on the said album but sold less than its two predecessors and didn't even reach the Gold record in the United States. I understand that Amy needs some space properly on her mind but come on! Amy don't have to do this on us because some of the fans are pretending to "okay" the solo album but badly wants a new album from the band they love. They should have enter the studio as a whole BAND and not Amy herself! This hiatus can greatly affect everything if the band never released anything!

We have felt many disappointments because of waiting for any activity from them. Waiting is too much. Little by little, the world forgets of them, actually, the hiatus between The Open Door and Evanescence is an example.

All we need is a new album from Evanescence!
