The Future of Evanescence... What Now?

The multi-awarded rock band Evanescence have ended their Winter Tour. An unprecedented 4 stop concert after the 3 year hiatus. Fans have welcomed Jen Majura as new guitarist for the band after Terry Balsamo left the band on August 2015. Amy Lee have stated that there are no new songs for Evanescence but they will tour much in 2016. Lee also announces that she will have a new solo material for 2016.

That’s the brief news about Evanescence. Their fans have been trying to figure out when will the band release a new material after an almost 6 year album drought. Some fans say that Evanescence’s 4th album will be less successful than that of their third album as the band is currently independent from any labels but Concord Bicycle Music have the distributing rights of Ev’s album. Some fans say that Evanescence will be more creative in their material but will be less successful in charts. Some fans want the band to sign up for a new label to boost up the band’s performance in the charts. The fans have accused the band’s former label, Wind Up records for sabotaging Ev’s creativity, pertaining to the poor promotion of Evanescence’s singles from their sophomore album, The Open Door and their self-titled album.

Fans are getting divided. Evanescence’s future is in Amy Lee’s hands whether to sign up for a new label or not, whether release a new album or not. Who knows? The pressure is in her hands. So sad, Evanescence never got the attention of the world audience in their third album like they used to be during their debut and sophomore album, I think.
