Here we go, I want to tell you some of my experiences while writing a story in Wattpad and I want to give you some useful advice in writing a story. I hope you learn things from this post.
1. Do a draft of your story
Yes, most of the authors started their career by writing in a draft. Just spill out all of your imaginations. When you thought, there's something wrong in your draft then change it! There's no wrong in changing and edit when you know there's wrong! While writing, don't forget to check your grammar, it's important!
2. Decide what influences your book cover in Wattpad should have
This really depends upon the genre, the taste and the dominant genre in your place or community. Here in my community, one of my friends urged me to use Korean artists in my book cover in Wattpad to get more reads. But I, as being influenced by the culture of the United States, insist that I'll use American (or European artists to portray my story) for my book cover as planned. Follow your deeds. (Hell, I don't use Korean artists because its too dominant in my community.)
3. Be sure you update your story
When you created a long story (or a novel), be sure you update your story regularly. It helps you to keep your readers updated to you. They'll be disappointed when you took a long time to update your story (that I always noticed to all writers I follow in Wattpad)
This last advice is a little tricky but I hope you understand.
4. If your country has two or more official languages, choose your local language to gain more reads to your story!
Yeah, this is the greatest mistake I've ever committed in my writing career, I used English in my story because it's planned but I need to change it because no one's reading it. That leave me, 4 months to change the whole story to the local language and hiatus to create a new chapter of my story.

I hope that's enough. Because I did a lot of fucking mistakes in writing a story, I wrote this one for you. Another piece of advice, when your job goes to the scene, you have no choice but to do your job! You have to update or write when you have a free time and when you have no free time 'cause your busy, well, it's on your luck now how to be an active writer. Your writing career is on your hands.
